Reconstructing the original

There is always the possibility that smaller parts have to be replaced.
Sliding blocks can be worn out, blade carriers damaged, bolts don't fit properly anymore or new blade tips are needed after cropping a damaged propeller. 

In these cases AEGIR-Marine Propulsion Service offers to reproduce the required parts. 
We scan and measure the original to reproduce a new drawing and mold (reverse engineering).
When the new drawings are approved, we will produce the required parts. They will be carefully checked and machined untill it's a perfect fit.

We produce exclusively in Europe using the highest quality materials and can do so under class.

Blade foot carriers

Blade foot carriers

If necessary we can cast blade foot carriers ourselves. Through reverse engineering we will make up new drawings and cast the pieces. All of this, of course, can be done under class.

These blade foot carriers have been casted in brass (CuNiAl).

Sliding blocks

These specific sliding blocks are fit for CPP parts. Suitable for Wärtsilä units.

Dowels

Dowels

Dowels may be minor parts, but if they don't fit, problems will ensue. We can easily reproduce dowels when required.

Available in all current sizes. Suitable for all Wärtsilä units.

Bolts

Whether you need a blade bolt, a flange or any other bolt. Just give us a call. We produce any size and do so exclusively in Europe with the highest quality materials. 

Spare propeller blades

Spare propeller blades

We can cast blades or spare blades for most propellers. In case there are no measurements or production drawings available, we will reverse engineer new drawings by 3D scanning. We scan the original blades as well as the top of the blade carrier.
We do so to make sure that the blade carrier and blade bottom will fit perfectly on one and another. This way we can also double check the blade bolt positions as well as the fitting dowel location.
The 3D scans provide a 3D model that can be used to create the final casting mold. Further more the obtained data is used for the production of 2D CAD files (drawings), which can be used for classification approval when needed.

The new drawings lead to molds for the blades which, in turn, lead to newly casted blades. On arrival in our workshop the blades will be machined to the exact ratios.
